MUMBAI, May 10: Shiv Sena has committed to address the problems being faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in absence of a popular government. In this context, the Party High Command has directed its Jammu and Kashmir unit to raise its voice to highlight and address the aspirations of common masses to fulfill their basic amenities by forming a list of 24 issues of public priorities.
Party National Secretary and Member Parliament Anil Desai has issued instructions to Manish Sahni, President J&K Shiv Sena to work in accordance with it by issuing a list of public issues as per their expectations at Shiv Sena Bhavan, Mumbai.
Manish Sahni said that restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, allowance to unemployed youth with reservation of jobs and education resources for J&K youth, return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley including free electricity and water and the demands of POJK displaced persons. A list of 24 public issues has been set in the ongoing process, he said.
Sahni said that Jammu and Kashmir has been under Governor's rule for the last more than four years. "Public issues are not being heard, all the promises made by the central government to the public are proving to be a hoax (Jumla) with the passage of time. The public democracy process of the state is waiting for restoration, but the government is constantly ignoring the voice of the people," he said, adding that although the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have not been announced yet, the party high command has given instructions to the Shiv Sena J&K unit to gear up for it.
Sahni said that as per the instructions of the high command, Shivsena will field its candidates in all the 90 assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that many senior leaders have assured to visit Jammu and Kashmir very soon.
Sahni said that all the district units of Shiv Sena in J&K have been directed to remain in public and raise their voice to highlight the problems being faced by the people.
Among those who accompanied Manish Sahni include Raj Singh, Mangu Ram and Sanjeev Soodan.
