| J&K to meet Haryana in crucial tie today | | 31st Sub-junior National Volleyball Championships | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 30: Winning both their matches today, Jammu and Kashmir boys equaled points with Haryana in Group-C with Kerela topped the pool in the ongoing 31st Sub-junior National Volleyball Championships organized by Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir at MA Stadium, here. Now, the last league tie between J&K and Haryana will decide the fate of the team qualifying for knock-out round of quarterfinals. Both J&K and Haryana have lost one match each out of the five games played till today. On the other hand, girls from hosts Jammu and Kashmir today lost their fourth consecutive match to Madhya Pradesh in straight sets (25-14 25-15 25-21). Earlier, after a day’s rest yesterday, the energetic side of Jammu and Kashmir boys won both their matches played today. In the first match, J&K defeated Maharashtra 3-1 (24-26 25-21 25-20 25-09) and later outplayed in straight sets 3-0 (25-08 25-14 25-13). Meanwhile, at least four teams have almost cleared their position for the quarterfinals in boys section. These teams are Andhra Pradesh (Group-D), Kerela (Group-C), Tamil Nadu (Group-A) and Uttar Pradesh (Group-B).
