Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 11: State Vice President of National Conference Women Wing, Bimla Luthra criticized the BJP led government at the centre for taking people of Jammu and Kashmir for granted.
Addressing meeting of women party workers at village Sladkothe in RS Pura, Luthra said that the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to village Palli in Samba on April 24 has proved to be a mere political function of BJP with the general masses feeling betrayed and demoralized yet again.
Luthra asserted that unemployed youth, daily wagers, contractual employees etc were once again taken for a ride with the organizers of the rally summoning them for participation but failing to get their concerns addressed. She asserted that the people are fed-up with the anti-people policies of the BJP government as everyone is facing the heat of directionless policies of the incumbent government with inflation breaking all the previous records.
Luthra said that unemployment is at an all time high under BJP rule as Jammu and Kashmir is top among all the states and union territories in the country wherein the employment at its peak.
Luthra appealed to the people of the area to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir. Among others who were present in the meeting included Shakuntala Devi, Pinki Khalsa DP Jammu Urban Women Wing, Jyoti, Rani, Savita, Bharti and others.
