Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 11: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Wednesday said the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A has paved the way for equality and social justice to the youth of Jammu Kashmir who had been discriminated by the successive regimes since decades for vested political interests.
The BJYM said that the BJP, which always struggled for the common masses without bothering the political repercussions, has brought a clinical change in the mindset of the people in Jammu Kashmir after it came to power at the Centre in 2014.
"There has been unprecedented change in the mindset of the youths in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, they used to feel suppressed and discriminated in the garb of discriminatory Article 370 and Article 35-A. After the abrogation of these discriminatory laws, a sense of justice to nationalist voices and youths of JK has become quite prevalent," Arun Prabhat, BJYM state president said while addressing enthusiastic youth gathering at the party headquarters here.
A large number of youths from Rajouri and Poonch under the leadership of Advocate Zulfikar Ahmed joined the BJP. They were welcomed into party folds by the BJYM state president.
Prabhat said that the formation of government and enjoy power has never been the agenda of the BJP as it has always worked the welfare of common masses.
He said the BJP has established a powerful PRI system in Jammu and Kashmir and it was further committed to empower the people at grassroots level fully. The BJYM leader welcomed the Advocate Zulfikar Ahmad and his supporters into the BJP folds and said his joining would further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
