5/12/2022 10:50:13 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 12: Provincial President National Conference, Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta today said that the present J&K government headed by the LG Government has miserably failed on all fronts.
In a statement issued here today, the senior NC leader said that the miseries of general public across Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold as the present government has miserably failed to provide basic amenities to the people. He said that the appalling power scenario in Jammu and Kashmir has exposed the tall claims of government with regard to ensuring colossal development and thousands of crores of investment in the industrial sector. He maintained that except rhetoric the government has nothing in offing for the people as the power crisis which has gripped the state is unprecedented because no one in J&K had ever seen such dark era in last over seventy years.
Gupta asserted that on one hand the LG Governor talking about brining an investment of Rs 70,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir and on the other hand the J&K government has failed to provide electricity to the existing industrial units which are meager in numbers one can guess well that what will be the future of industry which is coming up in the region with big promises.
Raising serious concern over the highest unemployment ever in Jammu and Kashmir, the senior NC leader said that BJP Government in the Centre has failed to fulfill the poll promises made in 2014 like generating two crore employment opportunities a year, controlling inflation and fuel price, transparent governance, provide civic amenities to the people etc which seems to deflect the people's attention. He said that due to hollow and anti people policies of BJP led Government at the centre near about two crores people have lost their jobs in the country while in Jammu and Kashmir near about 50,000 people have lost their jobs in the private sector.
The Provincial President appealed to the authorities of recruitment agencies to fill all the posts lying vacant since long in different government departments of Jammu and Kashmir without any further delay on fast track basis so that the youth would get a sigh of relief amidst highest ever unemployment era. Besides, the Government of India must enroll J&K youth in the Central paramilitary forces also as they are dedicated and hardworking and second to none, he added.
