REASI, May 14: Under the insightful directions of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Executive Chairman, JKLSA and radiant guidance of R.N. Watal Chairman DLSA Reasi (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi) District Legal Services Authority Reasi today organized Second National Lok Adalat of the calendar year, 2022 in District Reasi.
Five Benches were constituted for settling the referred cases . The Bench No.1 consisted of R.N. Watal, Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi and Advocate K.K. Dubey; Bench No.2 consisted of Sudesh Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub-Judge), Reasi, Arti Devi, Munsiff, Reasi and Advocate R.K. Sharma; Bench No. 3 consisted of Priyanka Mahajan, Additional Mobile Magistrate and Advocates Rashi Baru, and Shazia Punjabi; Bench no.4 comprised of Manoj Kumar Parihar, Sub Judge, Katra, Sandeep Sen, Munsiff, Katra and Advocate Akhil Prashar, President Bar Association, Katra and Bench No. 5 consisted of Mahavir Singh, Munsiff, Mahore, Advocate Abdul Gani Bhatt, President Bar Association, Mahore and Advocate S.S. Sahni, Tehsil, Mahore.
The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Public Utility Services, Prelitigation matters and also Traffic challans.
A total of 1974 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 1818 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 1,46,39,414 was realized as settlement amount. |
