| ‘Don’t lend ear to false promises’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 1: Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) candidate from Jammu-East assembly constituency Zaffar Javed Ahmad Khan today said that those promising jobs to the unemployed youth in the state were misleading youth and sabotaging their future by making false promises. Holding series of election meetings at Jain Bazar, Circular road, Prem Nagar and Gandu Ki Chawni, Zaffar Khan said, DPN stands for the committed development and do not make false promises. Jobs, he said cannot be given to all but promised, that if elected his party would make Jammu and Kashmir a financially stable state where ample job opportunities would knock at the doors of educated youth. During his election campaign, Zaffar Khan said, various political parties had promised moon to the people but general condition of the constituency remains the same. Despite the fact that all government offices are located in Jammu-East constituency and it has now become an educational hub, no substantial development has taken place during past several years, he added. He said that increased traffic on Jammu roads have made it almost impossible for the children and aged to walk or cross roads. The DPN, he said, is concerned for the safety of general masses and would construct underpasses at different locations in the city. Khan said that his party stands for the equitable development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and those trying to divide people on the basis of caste, creed, region or religion should not be encouraged. |
