| Indu canvassing for Congress candidates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec1: The state President Mahila Congress Indu Pawar toured districts of Reasi, Udhampur, Kishtwar and Doda and addressed series of public meetings and urged the people to support and vote for Congress candidates so that party would be able to form next government on its own and can work for the upliftment of the people of the state. She further said that besides development priority will also be given to building of infrastructure and employment for unemployed youths. Congress would also endeavour to usher in an era of peace, dignity and hope through discussion and dialogue on all issues, she said and added. Congress is the only party, which can lead the state in peace, development and progress. Others who were present in the meeting included Kiran Bala, Sita Devi, Kamal Madhu, Sonia Choudhary, Kamlesh Bassi, Suman Lata, Kamla Devi, Taro Devi, Satya Devi and Marzine. Meanwhile, Thakur Jai Singh Congress leader and Corporator of Ward No. 69 also held election meetings in favour of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla separately in sectors A, B and C of Sainik Colony. Ambika Vihar Diili and Chhani adjoining Sainik colony and appealed the voters to vote favour of Congress candidate, as Congress is only party committed for development of all regions. |
