| Wazir: Gandhi Nagar constituency lacks development | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec1: The National Conference (NC) candidates of Gandhi Nagar commission T.S Wazir while addressing a series of election meetings at Nai Basti, Gandhi Nagar, Jeevan Nagar, Bikram Nagar and Gangyal alleged that no development has been done in the constituency for the past six years. He said people have realized that only NC was the better alternative which can deliver justice to the poor people. He on the occasion questioned the grounds on which Congress were seeking mandate from the public when their own Minister had been accused of having involved in corruption and various scandals during the last six years. Wazir said the party will again start the process of recruitment of youths in the various departments as was being done in the previously by NC Government. He also said that if he NC is voted to power, it will lower the qualification for the appointment in class IV category to Middle pass to provide chance to the deserving non-Matric persons to get employed in the state services. He expressed concern over the problems being faced by the transporters in the state and assured that their demands will be considered seriously once the NC Government under the Chief Ministership of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. Prominent persons who also addressed the gatherings were Rampal, Bimla Luthra, Rajesh Bakshi, Vinod Bhalla, Surinder Singh Jamwal Youth leader, Kuldeep Singh, Ravinder Singh Pappu, Pinki, Paramjeet Kour, Rita Gupta and Satwant Kour. |
