| Bhim calls for NIC meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 1: JKNPP Chief Prof. Bhim Singh has demanded convening of National Integration Council meeting at the earliest to work out a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism in the country. Concluding his 3-day parikrama of Chenani, Ramnagar and Udhampur constituencies Prof Singh has impressed the need for a comprehensive strategy for combating the menace of terrorism which has taken an ugly turn in the country and in this connection referred to the recent Mumbai terrorist strike in which nearly two hundred innocent civilians lost their lives. Earlier, addressing series of election rallies in these constituencies in support of his party candidates, the Panthers Chief appealed the people to vote the party candidates as vote to JKNPP is vote for stability and prosperity of the state. He said that Panthers Party which is the only political movement in Jammu and Kashmir stands for secularism, equity and justice, democracy, rule of law and a peaceful state. It was only Panthers Party which has been fighting against terrorism, militancy, communalism and corruption in the state, he added. In the meantime Ghulam Ali Engineer, the NPP candidate filed his nomination papers from Nagrota Assembly Constituency today. He was accompanied by hundreds of party workers and supporters of the party when he filed the nomination papers. |
