| Painting competition on HIV-AIDS at Jammu University | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 1: National Service Scheme (NSS) organized a painting competition at the Rinzen Zengpo Art Gallery at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium at the University of Jammu here today as part of observance of World AIDS Day. Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Dean Students Welfare, Jammu University inaugurated the program. Prof Anita Billowria, Director, Centre for History and Culture of Jammu and Ladakh regions, University of Jammu was also present. Over 190 students from various Post Graduate Departments of the University, degree colleges of Jammu region and schools participated in the painting competition. The theme of poster making competition was "HIV-AIDS-spreading the message'. The winners of the painting competition in post graduate category were Kanika Mahajan (first prize), Komal Hujjan (second prize), both from Government Degree College Parade and Vishal Verma (third prize) SPMR College. Sonali Kaul from GGM Evening College and Pawan Parihar from the same college got consolation prizes. In the schools category, Gazala Noor from MIER, Akash Mahajan from GHSS Kathua and Heena Gul from MIER got first, second and third prizes respectively. Surbhi Thaper and Priya Sahany, both from MIER got consolation prizes. The painting competition was judged by Dr. Anupama Vohra, Deepak Kumar and Vishwa Raksha. |
