DC Udhampur presides over weekly Block Diwas at Jaganoo

UDHAMPUR, May 18: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today visited Block Jaganoo and listened to public issues at the weekly Block Diwas programme.
BDC Chairman, Sanjeet Kumar, DDC Councillor, Prikshit Singh, District Officers and PRIs besides general public hailing from adjoining Panchayats of the Block put forth their issues and demands, repair of local roads, Maintenance of Sansoo, Barmeen 300 mtr stretch, provision of adequate infrastructure in Government Higher Secondary School Jaganoo, Implementation of JJM, Shortage of staff in educational institutions, Up-gradation of schools, compensation for Land, resolving Water logging problems, Blacktopping of local roads, repair of hand pumps, regularization of daily wagers, construction of Tarmara to Pallan road, Installation of power transformers, Regular drinking water supply, Up gradation of High school to Higher Secondary school, Appointment of Doctor at PHC Jaganoo, Establishment of parking zone, release of pending material liabilities under MGNREGA works, augmentation of drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, etc.
Responding to the demands and issues of PRIs, the DC issued on the spot instructions to the officers to look into these issues on priority.
Many grievances were redressed on the spot on the directions of DDC to officers of the concerned departments. She assured that all the genuine demands will be examined and redressed at an earliest.
The DC thanked the PRIs for participating in the weekly block Diwas. She underlined the need for early preparation of estimation plans of works in their respective Blocks /panchayats in coordination with BDOs.
The DC also appreciated the public centric issues raised by the PRIs during weekly Block Diwas.
While interacting with the public, the DC said that such platforms enable District administration to know the problems being faced by the people.
She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and UT Government.
