Treasures of health in traditional food
5/22/2022 10:45:00 PM

What our elders used to repeat often that home food is good for health, now the experts of Allopathy are repeating the same thing. For a long time, the natural medicine experts and Yogacharyas of the country have been saying that the path of health passes through the stomach of a person. But the young generation fond of spicy taste has been ignoring this thing continuously. In view of the increasing number of patients of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), the professor of Gastrology Department of PGI, the country’s prestigious medical and research institute, is now advising that home food is the key to health. Those who are breaking away from traditional Indian food are linking with diseases. In fact, in recent times, especially among the younger generation, there has been an increase in the craze for western and Chinese food items like pizza, burger and noodles etc. At the same time, the practice of ordering cooked food from hotels-restaurants etc. has also increased among the common people. Experts of PGI are saying that many diseases are being caused by eating more fried and outside food, due to which wounds are formed in the large intestine. As a result, the risk of ulcers and even cancer increases. The doctors are emphasizing on the traditional food at home. They are emphasizing on using raw ghee, soybean, coconut and sesame oil for food. Along with this, it has been advised to avoid repeated use of edible oil once used in the markets. Especially during the journey, instead of eating outside food, they are also telling the need to use fruits and mango food. Actually, there is no big rocket science in this and the elders of the house have been repeating the same thing often, but the new generation does not pay attention to it.
Actually, making fast food culture a part of life has given birth to all kinds of diseases in the country and the world. Obesity and all its related diseases are tightening the grip on Indians today. Due to less importance of physical labor in our life and eating fried and fried, lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure have started making homes in the body. Not only this, sleeping late and waking up late has become a part of our habit. Children are engaged in gadgets instead of playing in the field, due to which obesity is affecting them more. At the same time, the problem has become more complicated due to not eating on time and making fast food a part of daily life. Ignoring breakfast in the morning and heavy meals late at night are also inviting physical ailments. Yoga and Naturopathy emphasize on the fact that our digestion power is strong in the morning, so our breakfast should be rich. Fruits and salads should be an important part of our food chain. In the new generation, there is a passion for pizza-burgers but have started avoiding fruits and vegetables. Recent research in Western countries is showing that people who go to bed early and wake up early are more healthy. They are less prone to lifestyle diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes. See the irony that the new generation is ignoring our food and lifestyle for centuries. Now our attention is being focused on the same knowledge that comes after research from abroad. Actually, as long as we remain young, we ignore the essential rules of a healthy body, but when the age starts, the body becomes a home of diseases. The shortcoming of modern medical science has been that it cures the symptoms of the disease, but does not emphasize on changes in lifestyle and diet to eliminate that disease from the root. Then we get cured immediately but the causative agents of the disease are present in the body.
