Though for last four days local leaders have been veering their speeches and discourses around the Mumbai lasts to accuse Congress of soft approach on terror, BJP’s senior national leader Syed Shah Nawaz Hussain today launched the scathing attack. Hussain on Monday accused Congress led UPA government of playing vote UPA government of playing vote bank politics while dealing with the threat of terrorism and maintained that the government has no right to continue in office as it failed to instill fear in the mind of the terrorists against carrying out attacks targeting innocent civilians. The BJP leader, who arrived here in Jammu to campaign in support of BJP candidates for the fourth round of polling on December 7, said that the biggest achievement of the congress party till date as regards tackling terrorism is that they withdrew most stringent anti terror law POTA. This single step move has provoked militants to bleed India as it also painted image of soft state of India in their eyes, he added. While comparing the rule of the BJP led NDA government and Congress led UPA government at the centre, Shah Nawaz claimed that BJP tackled terrorists with firm resolve and terrorized them but the present government has failed to so. During our rule, the terrorists who attacked Indian Parliament and other places were dealt with iron fists and gave them a befitting reply and put them on the back foot. He said the wrong policies of the Congress led UPA government has alienated the entire political class from the masses. "The people are disenchanted with the politicians and are angry. He said by replacing one union minister, the centre cannot claim that accountability has been fixed. It is a failure of the centre and the government has no moral right to continue in office, Hussain said. Referring to the visit of Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh inside Taj hotel along with his film star son Hrithik Deshmukh and producer/director Ram Gopal Verma, Hussain said it looks Deshmukh was not visiting the Taj as Chief Minister but as father of film star son who had also invited one of his friends. |
