Move to disengage Rehber-e-Khel, Janglat, Zirat , NYCs unethical, illegal: Rattan Lal Gupta
5/23/2022 10:54:19 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 23: Provincial President National Conference, Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta Adv. on Monday decried the move by LG Manoj Sinha's administration with regard to disengaging Rehbar-e-Khel, Rehber-e-Janglaat, Rehber-e Zirat and NYCs claiming that the same is unethical and undemocratic by all means and parameters, and has asked the concerned to revisit the decision as soon as possible.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior NC leader said that the motive behind this unprincipled step is clear that the LG's administration is paving way for outsiders at the cost of local youth as the posts getting vacant after this draconian order have been referred to SSRB for re-advertisement to carry out recruitment afresh.
"This is totally unjustified move as snatching away job opportunity from those who were working since years on meager perks with a hope to get permanent employment is unfair and cruel joke with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir", Gupta said, adding that J&K administration has no right to take such a pitiless decision which has the potential to ruin the careers of hundreds of aspiring youths of Jammu and Kashmir who were relying on the government for making a bright future and earn dignified living.
The senior NC leader also condemned the recent discriminatory decision of LG's administration whereby it has stalled the recruitment process of border battalions on which hundreds of youth hailing from border belts have pinned hopes and even appeared in the tests conducted for the jobs. He said the issue was also raised by NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah MP in the Parliament as Jammu & Kashmir administration has withdrawn the posts referred to Services Selection Board (SSB) and Public Service Commission.
Rattan Lal Gupta discouraged the move of present government for reversing the steps taken by the successive regimes of the erstwhile state for the welfare of J&K youths. He said that the youth of erstwhile state were recruited with proper procedure of then government. He said that such move of present government will lower the morale of Jammu and Kashmir youth who are already facing the brunt of anti-youth policies. He said instead of creating more job avenues to tackle unemployment the present government promoting unemployment by terminating youth from the aforesaid posts.
Gupta expressed anguish over the anti-people stance of J&K administration as the move will increase the unemployment in J&K thus acting as a bottleneck for the career opportunities of the youth who are already confronting colossal problems including livelihood challenges. "At a time when the aforesaid youths were expecting regularization, the LG's government has given them the 'gift' of termination which is unacceptable and shows how merciless of the government in J&K", he said and reiterated that government should reconsider this ruthless decision and give back the rightful jobs to J&K youth with promise to make them permanent employees in near future.
