DC holds public grievances redressal camp at Mahore; reviews status of dev projects

REASI, May 25: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited Mahore and conducted a grievances redressal camp to assess the response of the public towards various developmental initiatives being implemented by the administration in the area.
Before the camp, the DC visited Government Higher Secondary School, Community Health Centre and ICDS centre and reviewed the functioning of these institutions.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the PRI's and public and issued directions to the concerned departments for time bound disposal of each grievances aired in the interaction with the public.
The camp was attended by Vice Chairperson DDC Sajra Qadir' ADDC Jyoti Salathia; CHO Brij Vallabh; CAO Sudhir Singh; ACP Umesh; CAHO Abdul Majid; DSHO P.P.Sagotra; LMO Pushkar Raj, besides other district officers along with PRIs, BDOs, Sarpanchs and Panchs.
The PRIs and Public put forth their demands seeking adequate water supply supplemented with Tanker service, Acquisition of land for proposed Bus Stand, electrification of un-electrified habitations, road from Baransal to Gulabgarh, power supply to Dewal-B, repair of power lines from Bagga to Gulabgarh, posting of Gynaecologist, inclusion of eligible families in BPL category and compensation under SDRF norms.
Some more issues raised were renewal of Contractor card, community hall for general meetings, shortage of staff in HSS Bagga, avoiding unscheduled power cuts, non-availability of spray for fruits, building for Schools, release of installments to PMAY beneficiaries, shifting of houses from landsliding zone, inauguration of Gujjar hostel Kaunsli and deployment of wildlife staff prevent incidents of man-animal conflict.
After listening to Public Grievances, the DC addressed the important issues one by one and motivated the public to avail the benefits of government schemes meant for them.
A multitude of issues regarding Water, Power, Road, Transport, Ration, Nutrition, Education, Health were resolved on the spot after face to face deliberation with District Officers and for several other issues DDC fixed timeline for their resolution.
While reviewing the development works, Babila Rakwal directed the concerned authorities to complete the ongoing developmental projects in a stipulated time frame. During the programme, Hearing Aids and Wheelchairs were also given to specially-abled persons by the Social welfare department.
PRIs and locals appreciated and expressed gratitude to DC Reasi for organizing public Darbar and listening to their Grievances and requested the administration to perpetually conduct similar programmes in the future as well.
