| NC women wing leaders campaign for candidates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 2: National Conference has always worked for the development and empowerment of the women particularly those belonging to weaker sections of the society and shall continue to do so in the future as well, said Bimla Luthra senior National Conference leader while addressing series of election meetings in Katra and Reasi in support of Jagjeevan Lal, party's candidate from Reasi assembly constituency. She said political parties like Congress, BJP and PDP have no agenda for the development of the state and only raise hollow slogans to befool the people during the elections. "The six years of the coalition rule has brought miseries to the people of the state. I urge the people to be watchful of the sinister designs of the political parties who during the elections make lot of promises, but do not deliver on them", she said. She urged the people to come forward and strengthen the hands of party candidates and assured the people on behalf of the party candidates that they will work hard for the upliftment of the constituency. Meanwhile, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta campaigned in favour of Satpal Lakhotra party's candidate from Raipur Domana. Besides, addressing election meetings, she also conducted door to door campaign in Paloura area of the constituency. Addressing the meetings in various places of the constituency, she made fervent appeal to the voters to cast their votes in favour of National Conference candidate. She said National Conference is the only premier political party in the state which is committed for the development of the people of the state and said that unlike Congress, PDP and BJP we (NC) do not make false promises or commitments. |
