| GGM Sc College organizes Nukkad Natak on drug abuse awareness, plantation drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 25: NSS GGM Science College under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized a nukad natak in the Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Canal Road Jammu on the first day of ten-day long Summer camp. NSS PO and the Principal of the school inaugurated the summer camp. NSS volunteers under the aegis of Shikshit Bharat performed the awareness say no to drugs raising their voice among the students regarding the bad effects of drugs. Life is a precious gift, don't waste it on drugs. Drug abuse is affecting the youth all over the world. It is ruining the society socially, physically, culturally, emotionally and economically. In her address NSS PO said "Every youth has a creative element in him/her. It is necessary to identify the individual's creative skills so that his/her full energy could be utilized towards improving these rather than taking to drugs". Dr. Deepali Mahajan urged the school students to spread the awareness in the society that "DRUGS Don't Help You, they ruin YOU". The Principal, staff and the students of the school praised the NSS volunteers for their sincere efforts to raise awareness among the students. Plantation drive was also carried out by NSS volunteers. Students of the school. Pledge was taken to take care of the plants so they grow in big trees and give us oxygen and shade. To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. |
