Inhuman face of terror
5/25/2022 11:43:01 PM

Terrorists are targeting unarmed policemen in Kashmir to make their presence felt. On Tuesday ultras shot dead a J&K Police constable, Saifullah Qadri at Soura in the city outskirts near his residence. They even fired upon his 9-year old daughter injuring her critically.
The gruesome attack evoked condemnation from all the sections of the society. When Qadri was fired upon he was off duty and was not carrying any weapons.
The minor daughter who tried to come for the rescue of her father too was not spared.
Yesterday’s attack was the third assault on unarmed cops in Kashmir within the past 15 days. On May 5, a policeman, Ghulam Hassan Dar, in civvies was killed by terrorists near Aiwa Bridge along Dr. Ali Jan Road in the Srinagar city.
On May 13 terrorists shot dead a J&K Police constable Riyaz Ahmad Thoker in Gudoora area of Pulwama district.
During the past fortnight terrorists carrying out targeted killings of unarmed policemen is an indication that they are being provided precise information by their over ground workers about whom to target and when.
The J&K Police have issued an advisory to their men to take extra precautions and to refrain from visiting their homes located in sensitive areas. The senseless killings of policemen have perturbed the common man, who has started to raise his voice against the terror acts.
Large number of people participating in the funeral prayers of local policemen being killed by terrorists is a significant development and points towards the growing anger of common people against the terrorists, who are out to kill anyone. The ultras firing upon a minor girl, late Qadri’s daughter, has once again proven it beyond doubt that terror has no religion and terrorists have no mercy for anyone.
The policemen are braving all odds to be at the forefront on fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
They are sacrificing their lives to ensure that gun culture which Pakistan has gifted to Kashmir comes to an end. Entire nation salutes these brave hearts and stands by the bereaved families. The days of terrorists are numbered as the security forces are after them. By targeting unarmed policemen, terrorists are proving that they are cowards and they can go to any extent to appease their masters.
