| Tamil Nadu to fight for double title in Volleyball | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 2: Reigning champions, West Bengal girls shall take on Tamil Nadu while Uttar Pradesh boys shall lock horns against the title holders, Tamil Nadu in the finals of ongoing 31st Sub Junior National Volleyball Championship organised by Volleyball Association of J&K at MA Stadium here tomorrow. Earlier, in the girls semi-finals, played in this afternoon, West Bengal outplayed Uttar Pradesh in straight sets 3-0 while Tamil Nadu routed Karnataka in similar fashion in the other semifinal. In boys semi-finals, Tamil Nadu registered a 3-0 victory over Karnataka whereas Uttar Pradesh trounced Kerala to pave way for the final. The finals in both boys and girls sections as also hardliners for the third positions shall be played tomorrow, followed by the valedictory function. Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda has consented to be the chief in the finals and prize distribution function to be held at 12.30 pm. Today’s semi-finals were witnessed besides others by Director School Education, Zahida Khan and former Secretary State Sports Council, Manoj Pant.
