ADDC Poonch reviews performance of Banks at DLRC meeting

POONCH, May 26: Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Abdul Sattar today chaired a DLRC (District Level Review Committee) meeting for the quarter ended March 2022 and reviewed the performance of Banks & Line Departments here at Dak Bunglow Poonch.
Lead Bank Officer, Sukhbir Singh highlighted the overall performance for FY (2021-22) under Annual Credit Plan (ACP) & informed the house that the District has achieved 123% of total ACP i.e. the district stood at Rs.776.62 Cr against a target of Rs.633.89 Cr.
The achievement under Priority Sector is 75% (against target of Rs.497.70 Cr. it is Rs. 373.66 Cr.) -thus ranking no 3 in the entire UT. Achievement under Agriculture sector is at 80% (against target of Rs.191.22 Cr it is at Rs.152.62 Cr.) recording a ranking at number 1 in the entire UT.
It was also informed to the house that the total deposits & advances in the District were at Rs. 3377.37 Cr. & 1622.50 Cr. as on March 31, 2022 against Rs. 3268.66 Cr & Rs. 1364.03 Cr against the corresponding period of last year recording a growth of 3.32% & 18.95% YOY in both segments (Rs 108.71 & Rs 258.47 Cr.) The CD Ratio of the District as on March 31, 2022 stood at 48.04% which was at 41.73% on 31.03.2021 showing a growth of 15.12 % YOY.
In addition to this an amount of Rs. 41.74 Cr was disbursed amongst 1279 beneficiaries under various Self Employment Schemes thus providing employment to 3108 unemployed youths during this FY (2021-22).
The ADDC appreciated the Banks and Line Departments for achieving the targets under ACP. In the meeting, GM DIC informed the house that DIC Poonch has initiated the process of counseling to the proposed beneficiaries before forwarding their cases to banks for financial assistance. He also requested other sponsoring agencies to get the services of this counseling centre for awareness to the beneficiaries of their respective schemes, on which ADDC also directed the sponsoring agencies to avail the benefit of the counseling centre.
The ADDC directed the sponsoring agencies to cooperate and co-ordinate with banks for affecting the overdue recoveries under KCC Schemes especially in Mendhar belt as the same was put forward by cluster head J&K Bank Poonch. He also emphasized upon the sponsoring agencies to avoid bulk sponsoring of a particular area and sponsor the cases Panchyat/Block wise so that all areas of the district were covered. The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager Sukhbir Singh, Cluster Head, J&K Bank, AKS Bagee, General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir (JKAS), Director JKBRESTI, Vijay Singh Jasrotia, RM JKGB, Nisar Malik, District Coordinates of all banks & District officers of Sponsoring Department. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from LDM.
