| J&K forces Haryana to follow on in U-16 Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 2: In an upbeat mood after beating Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir today forced Haryana to follow on the second day of the three-day North Zone under-16 (Vijay Merchant) cricket tournament underway at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here. Sailing over a competitive first innings total of 324 runs, J&K brought visitors under pressure bowling out the whole side for 121 runs in 47.4 overs thereby forcing a follow on. Again, following on, Haryana failed to come out of the pressure and were struggling at 84 for four when the second day play ended. When stumps were drawn, Bharat Doreja and Rahul Punvant were at the crease with 34 and 17 runs in their respective accounts. Earlier, J&K resumed their innings from overnight score of 275 for seven and brought the total to 324 with Wazeem Raza also completing his half century before he was trapped leg before by Mohit Mann. Wasim played superb innings of 62 runs off mere 69 deliveries hitting eight boundries. Behad Qureshi was most successful bowler from J&K, who clinched four wickets for 19 runs in the first innings. All rounder, Soumay Jain, who earlier scored 64 runs, also did a fine job as a bowler taking away three wickets.
