DHS Jammu inspects Health Institutions of District Ramban
Reviews medical care arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022

JAMMU, May 30: Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Saleem ur Rehman, today visited health institutions of district Ramban to oversee the arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022 and to assess overall functioning of these health institutions. He was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Ramban.
During the visit to Sub District Hospital Banihal, the DHS took a round of all the sections of the hospital and interacted with doctors, paramedical staff and public and assured to provide power back up and Analyser for the Hospital.
The Director Health Services also reviewed the preparedness for upcoming Yatra, especially deployment of First Aid Medical Teams at Langer sites.
It was directed by DHS to prepare fully for smooth conduction of Yatra.
Later, DHS visited PHC Ramsoo and took stock of health care facilities being provided to the patients. DHS observed that PHC Ramsoo is facing a shortage of space and lacks infrastructure. DHS assured to look into the space constraints and also promised to provide all infrastructures needed there in the interest of the public to run this PHC.
On the way back, the Director Health Services visited District Hospital Ramban, where he reviewed the functioning of the hospital as well as preparedness for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The DHS took round of the Trauma Centre and inspected the Operation Theatre, DEIC, Dialysis Unit, MCH Section, Outpatient Departments, Laboratory, C-T Scan, Ultrasound section and Emergency Room. DHS was satisfied with the overall working of the hospital.
DHS also visited the under construction building of the Maternal ICU. On the spot instructions were issued by DHS to keep the standby team ready with all necessary medicines for the upcoming Yatra and said that he shall be visiting again at least twice during the Yatra.
