Jammu, May 30: Department of English Government Degree College Kathua Organised Power Point Presentation Competition on General Awareness Themes under the patronage of Worthy Principal Prof. Sumnesh Jasrotia .The programme started with formal welcome of the Principal and Bouquet presentation. He laid emphasis on organising more such events for spreading awareness among the students. The students of Functional English Sem 6th co-ordinated the programme successfully under the supervision of Dr. Seema Malpotra , concerned teacher ,HOD, and convener of Literary Activities .Power Point Presentation based on diverse themes, ‘Tragedy of the century(covid-19)’ ‘A Step towards Saviour of Life’,’Energy Crisis’,’Russian Ukraine conflict’,”Tourism in India” were presented by the sem 6th students of Functional English of the College. A total of 14 students participated in the competition. Pallavi, Sapna, Nirmal secured first position, Evneet and Shreya second Position and Amit and Arun third position. Prof. Ritu Baghat, HOD Education and Prof. Rahul Sharma, HOD Computer Sciences acted as judges of the event. At last the Principal congratulated and lauded the efforts made by the students for making the event a great success. He guided and motivated the students and the department to organize more such events at National level which will be of immense value to the students. He also distributed the certificates to all the participants. Prof. Raj Kiran, Prof. Rakesh Singh, Dr Rachna Devi, Dr. Rachna were also present. The faculty members of the dept Prof. Sandeep (in absentia) Prof.Shivani, Dr.Chetna, Dr. Eva, Dr.Nitasha, Prof. Rakhi, Dr. Meenakshi and Dr. Nomita also appreciated the efforts of the students. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Evneet Kour. |
