| Arguments on Sawalakote conclude | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 2: The arguments on the much publicized Sawlakote Power Project controversy concluded here today with the directions of filling of written submissions. Earlier, the Court had directed State of J&K not to call new global tender and also directed Power Development Corporation to maintain status-quo as it exists that day till next day of hearing.
After hearing the arguments by Advocate General DC Raina appearing for the State and Adv PN Raina appearing for the Power Development Corporation, Justice JP Singh allowed both to file written submissions and adjourned the case.
In the much publicized Sawlakote Power Project case, M/S Sawalkote Prosjektutvikling of Norway, M/S Construction Company Mumbai and M/S Ozaltin Construction Trade & Industry Company Inc of ANKARA Turkey had filed a petition against floating fresh Global tenders for the EPC contract and challenged the decision the canceling the EPC contract order of the petitioners.
