| Education department hosts online cultural program SANGAM | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 1: An online cultural program SANGAM featuring Dogri lok Geet, folk dance, Dogri poem recitation and patriotic songs was organised by the Education Department in schools across Udhampur district.
The program was moderated by Zonal Incharge Cultural cell Zone-Udhampur Rinku Khanna and technical support was provided by Supriya. The event was organised on the directions of Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu with the aim to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent.
The participants included the students of different schools of Zone Tikri and Zone Udhampur. The students presented beautiful dances, song items, recited Dogri poems and patriotic songs which were liked by one and all.
The Chief Education Officer Arvin Kumar Koul appreciated the participants and their Escort teachers of Tikri zone and Udhampur zone for hosting the scintillating program.
He also appreciated ZEOs of the twin zones, Principals Headmasters and all the staff of cultural cell Udhampur and Rakesh Singh DICC in particular for having taken such initiatives in the past as well and making the endeavours successful. |
