Shiv Sena protests against targeted killings, attacks in Kashmir
6/2/2022 11:02:44 PM
Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 2: Shiv Sena Udhampur unit today staged protest against the ongoing targeted killings and attacks in the Kashmir Valley.
Led by Manish Sahni, President J&K SHiv Sena, the party workers assembled near Kargil Hanuman Temple and raised slogans against the government for its failure to secure the minorities in Kashmr Valley. The protesting Shiv Sainiks raised slogans to stop the targeted killings and restore peace in Kashmir.
Talking to reporters, Manish Sahni said that the promise made by Modi's Central Government for restoration of peace in the Kashmir Valley and safe return of Kashmiri migrants is proving to be a hoax today. The central and state administrations have proved completely unsuccessful in restoring peace in the Kashmir Valley.
Sahni said that terrorist organizations are trying to influence the Amarnath Yatra, which will start on June 30, by giving hollow threats which will never be allowed to succeed. He said the Shiv Sena along with the security forces stood for the protection of civilians and gave a call for "Chalo Kashmir" on June 29.
Sahni said that Amarnath Yatra will give a befitting reply to the spirits of the pilgrims and the threats of the terrorists. He said that whenever there have been attempts to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra, devotees of Bholenath have joined the Yatra in large numbers.
Sahni warned the anti-national elements not to try to challenge the faith of the devotees of Bhagwan Shiva as along with Jammu, the general public of Kashmir is also standing with wide arms to welcome the pilgrims coming on the Amarnath Yatra. He said that in presence of security forces, local citizens and Shiv Sainiks deployed in Jammu and Kashmir, no terrorist force has the courage to make an attempt to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra.
Among those who joined the protest include General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Udhampur District President Sanjeev Sharma, in-charge Ashwani Prabhakar, Rajesh Handa, Natwar Lal, Jatindra Arora, Dalip Arora, Anil Vijay, Sanjay Pandita, Rajesh Khajuria, Imtiaz Hussain, Rajinder Singh and Vishal Verma.
