JAMMU, June 2: Fulfilling the demand of more than one thousand morning walkers of Rehari Colony, Sarwal, New Plot and adjoining areas, Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporators Dinesh Gupta & Nidhi Mangotra started construction works at Municipal Park, Pacca Talab. Accompanied by the officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sharma started the work in presence of a large number of people including Ex En RK Mahajan, AEE Ashish Bhasin, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, local residents, morning walkers and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 10 lakhs. It includes tile work and other necessary things to be laid on the pathway for its widening in order to provide proper facilities to the morning walkers.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was a pending demand of more than thousand morning walkers of the area and keeping in view the basic amenities, the works had to be done in order to provide best possible infrastructure to the masses.Sharma also said that an open garden gym in coming days will also be established to give the park a new face lift so that morning walkers can keep themselves fit by exercising. Sharma also appealed to the masses to keep the surroundings of the park neat and clean in order to fulfill the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for building a clean and green nation under the banner of "Swachh Bharat".
Dinesh Gupta said that from a very long time the works pertaining to the development of the park were pending and people did not have a proper place where they could go and keep themselves fit but now this park will be renovated and it will provide a relief to thousands of inhabitants who in their free time visit the park to spend their leisure time. He also stated that under the leadership of Former MLA many parks were developed and maintained which provided relief to many.
Nidhi and Raveesh credited Former MLA for taking up major works in the Jammu West Assembly segment which solved problems of thousands of people and made Jammu West amongst the most developed Constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir.
District Secretary Sangeeta Gupta, Ex Corporator Balwan Singh, Onkar Singh Bose, Prof. Bhakta Ram, Karan Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Subash Gupta, Ashok Gandhi, Ramesh Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Satish Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Adarsh Goswami and several others were also present.
