| Two pull out of fray in Bhaderwah | | Goni gets shot in arm | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Bhaderwah, Dec 3: Challenging former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, the senior National Conference leader and former Advocate General Mohammad Aslam Goni today got shot in arm when two independent candidates pledged support to him. While one candidate has withdrawn nomination papers and has joined campaign with Goni the other candidate Mudassir Zargar could not withdraw papers for technical reason but has nevertheless pledged support to the National Conference leader. Two independent candidates namely Bal Krishan Manhas , Retired Accounts Officer from Panchaie and Muddassar Zargar youth Leader and social activist from Bhella block fighting elections form Bhaderwah constituency reposed their confidence in candidature of Goni and pulled out of the fray. Both the leaders joined National Conference along with their supporters in a function organized in Bhaderwah today. Expressing faith in the programmes and policies of National Conference and the leadership of N C Patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah and President Omar Abdullah both the leaders offered unconditional support to Aslam Goni. Welcoming both the prominent leaders into the National Conference Goni promised to adjust them suitably in the Party and to work unitedly with them for thr development of Bhaderwah constituency.In the meanwhile Vidur Wazir a prominent businessman of the state & son of former Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Late Justice Janki Nath Wazir has intensified csampaigne in support of NC candidate Aslam Goni. Wazir who has been camping in Bhaderwah for the last three weeks held a series of meeting in the area urging people to vote in favour of the National Conference. |
