DIET organises Essay Competition for students

KISHTWAR, June 3: District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Kishtwar today organized an essay writing competition here on its Campus.
The theme of the essay writing competition was Role and Responsibilities of School Heads, Students and Teachers in School improvement and Developmental Plan with the sub-themes like Annual academic plan, Annual Pedagogical Leadership, School Leadership & developmental plan, Education for sustainable development etc.
A total of sixty three students of Government and private High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools from across the district participated in the competition and wrote on the theme. The programme was conducted through offline mode and was supervised by the in-charge of the programme, Pramilla Sharma HOD, DIET Kishtwar under the overall supervision and superintendence of the DIET Principal, Ashok Kumar.
Pertinent to mention here that the first level open competition of Essay Writing was held on 19th May, 2022 at Secondary and Senior level institutions across the districts. Hundreds of students participated and each school selected the best 2 to 3 writers for the second level competition at district/DIET level which was subsequently held today as per the directions of SCERT, J&K.
The evaluation team comprising senior officers of the DIET will select the best three writers for the further competition at Divisional level which will be followed by UT level.
The district/DIET level competition was conducted on the topics given by SCERT, J&K and efforts were made to incorporate original and practice centric case studies of their respective schools.
The Principal DIET expressed the words of thanks to all the Heads of Institutions (HOIs) in general and applauded the efforts of writers of secondary and HSS Students across Govt and private schools of district Kishtwar.
