| Ansari for safe passage to youth stranded across LoC | | | Srinagar, Sep 15 : Senior PDP leader and Member Working Group on Rehabilitation of Militancy Affected People (WGRMAP) Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari has projected the proposal for providing financial succour by way of bringing the kids and families of those militants into the ambit of National and State Rehabilitation Councils who died during the turmoil. Ansari who participated in the first meeting of the WGRMAP held at Jammu today has strongly pleaded for rehabilitation of the families of dead militants adding that though the dead militants have defied the law, yet the kids and families of affected militancy need and deserve human treatment by the government so that the unfortunate children of such families could also get education to lead a peaceful life. Moulvi Iftikhar also suggested compassionate view on those stranded youth of Kashmir who had gone for arms training across LoC and have realized that they have committed a mistake in going across. He said these youth are reportedly very keen to return to their homes to join mainstream. He as such suggested that a compassionate view need to be taken to pave way for their return to their homes by safe passage adding that this sort of amnesty would also add to the confidence building measures. The PDP leader among other things projected various measures for speeding up the development process as also the measures to boost sense of security among the people of the state who have suffered tremendously during the turmoil period. |
