JAMMU, June 3: GDC Marh celebrated "World Bicycle Day". Under the agies of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" NSS Unit and Eco club of GDC, Marh in collaboration with Physical Educatin and Sports department organised Bicycle Rally under the able guidance of Prof. Aekta Gupta Principal GDC, Marh. She emphasised on the concept of Save the planet. She said bicycle connects you with nature even keeps you physically fit. In the rally number of students participated with slogans and play card about the benefits of bicycle. It is partinent to mentioned here that Dr. Balwinder Saini (HOD Chemistry) cycled 10 KM's from his home to GDC, Marh. On this event tributes were also paid to freedom fighters. Parshotam Lal (Sarpanch Dhateryal) along with prominent citizens, kids also participated in the rally. NSS PO Sachin Kumar Bhagat, Asstt. Prof. Ashu Jolly, Asstt. Prof. Anjana Chib, Asstt. Prof. Dr. Shakun Sharma and Mr. Ravi Kumar (Physical Training Instrutor) also cycled in the rally. |
