Educational trip of Budgam students conclude

Udhampur, Dec 3: A group of 35 children from district Budgam who were taken for a tour to Pune, Mumbai and Delhi as a part of ‘OP SADBHAVANA’ returned today after a successful and enjoyable educational trip.
The flag in ceremony was conducted at Budgam stadium by 35 RR Battalion (ASSAM) where Brig Ajay Kumar, Commander HQ 12 Sect RR was the chief guest.
Briefing about the tour, the Officer-in-Charge, Major IS Sidhu told the gathering that it was a good and learning experience for the children who visited places which they had only seen on TV. On interaction with students they were very thankful to the Army for organizing and enabling them to visit historical places, shopping centres, Rashtrapati Bhawan at New Delhi and the prestigious National Defence Academy at Pune. Teachers and students impressed upon the Chief Guest, that such tours must be taken up every year so as to enable many more students to have a peep outside Kashmir valley.
