| PNB launches zero balance Vidharthi account scheme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 3: After successfully opening around 5500 accounts of labourers and workers of the industrial belt of Kathua, the Punjab National Bank, today took an initiate of opening zero balance ‘Vidharthi’ accounts.
To begin with the PNB Kathua opened around 250 such accounts in the Degree College today.
The inaugural ceremony was attended among others by Malhotra principal of the college, Sunil Khosa senior branch manager and students of the college.
Khosa while speaking on the occasion said that the zero balance Vidhatri scheme shall be extended to other colleges of the district as well and also explained the various education loan facilities being provided by the bank for pursing higher studies.
The new account holders were provided debit cards on spot, besides the literature concerning educational loans. |
