KATHUA, June 7: Department of Food & Drug Administration, Kathua, in collaboration with Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Government Degree College, Hiranagar organized a Seminar cum Awareness programme on food safety to mark 'World Food Safety Day.'
More than 80 participants comprising college students and faculty members participated in the programme.
Food Safety Officer Hiranagar, Jai Inder Singh and Food Safety Officer Billawar Hans Raj spoke on the topic of Food Safety with focus on its slogan 'Safe Food Today and Healthy Tomorrow'.
The speakers dwelt upon various programmes of FSSAI like 'Eat Right India' and highlighted the need for a sustainable production system to ensure the health of the people.
The speakers also advised students to shun away the junk food habits and eat clean, healthy and wholesome food. |
