ADGP Jammu one convened a high level meeting to reviewed Police arrangements being made on the eve of Sh. Amar Nath ji Yatra-2022

Jammu, June 7 : Shri Mukesh Singh-IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone convened a high level meeting with the officers of Army/CAPF/Intelligence agencies/Civil Administration/Police/Traffic/Security wing to review the Police/security arrangements in the run up to Sh. Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022 at District Police Line Jammu this afternoon.
At the outset of the meeting, a Power Point Presentation was given by SSP Police Control Room, Jammu and Commandants of 38, 160 & 166 Bn CRPF with regard to the arrangements being made by them at Base Camp BhagwatiNagar, Base camp Chanderkote and Lamber, Banihal and en-route from Jammu to NavyugTunnel. During the presentation, some issues were raised by the Commandants concerned and on spot directions were given to the SSsP to look into their problems and address them shortly.
A detailed briefing was also given by the intelligence agencies i.e. Spl Bureau, IB and CID in view of the present security scenario and possible threats to the Shri Amar Nath Yatra this year.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu and DC Jammu also raised certain issues pertaining to the Amarnath Yatra and also assured to resolve all the pending issues pertaining to security arrangements In the next ten days. Singh also advised the participants to ensure that a proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective districts/area of responsibility for smooth and incident free Yatra. He also requested Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to take immediate action on certain issues raised by CRPF Commandants so that no inconvenience is caused to troops being deployed for the purpose.
