RAMBAN, June 8: Chairperson District Development Council, Dr. Shamshad Shan and Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam today conducted Mega Block Diwas meeting at Soomber to resolve grievances, especially basic issues of the general public at their doorsteps.
DDC Councillor, Fayaz Ahmed Naik, ACD Zameer Rishu, CHO Anil Gorkha, CEO Dev Anand,CMO, XENs, CAHO, DSHO, DSWO, AD FCS&CA, Tehsildar, BMO Ukhral, ZEO, officers of Railway Department, PRIs and several other officers and general public attended the Block Diwas meeting.
Highlighting the steps taken by the DDC Council and District Administration to resolve their problems, the DDC chairperson asked the PRIs to sensitize the people about different beneficiary and job oriented schemes launched by the Government for welfare of poor and deprived sections.
The DDC Chairperson also reiterated the demands including opening of Health Sub Centre at Soomber, deployment of Ambulance and establishment of Power Receiving Stations at Soomble and other far flung areas, expansion of bus service from Soomber to Urnihal area.
She also directed Executing Agencies to immediately complete the tendering process of all sanctioned works besides impressing upon the District and Sectoral officers to resolve the issues of general public pertaining to their respective departments on priority basis.
Meanwhile, the DC took a brief appraisal from concerned officers about new sanctioned and ongoing schemes especially pertaining to basic facilities like water and power supply, besides taking the stock of progress on implementation of other schemes pertaining to different departments.
Responding to the demands highlighted by the PRIs and people of different Panchayats like Soomber, Bajmasta, Harog and Jawari, the DC directed the BMO Ukhral to station an Ambulance at Soomber for the convenience of locals, while the CEO Ramban was directed to provide teachers to under staff schools by rationalizing the surplus staff from other adjoining schools.
The DC directed the PWD department to immediately start construction work of High School at Soomber as funds have been already made available by the Railways. He also asked the officers of the Railways to erect an additional temporary accommodation for school to facilitate the students. The DC also directed the construction companies to ensure proper registration of labourers for their financial security and risk cover under extant labour rules and laws.
The DC directed the PDD to submit the report about projects sanctioned for electrification of left out habilitations in far-flung Soomber area. He also directed the Railway to provide water supply through water tankers to the Beabli area.
The DC also sensitized the people about the PMEGP, Tajsawani, PM- SEHAT, e-Shram and self employment and other beneficiary oriented schemes. He also encouraged the youth to take advantage of schemes being implemented by different departments under Mission Youth & KVIC in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner resolved Most of the issues on spot which pertain to different departments besides passing strict instructions to concerned departments for resolving genuine issues of public on priority basis.
