Jammu, June 8: Dogra Law College organized an extension lecture on Consumer Protection Act, 2019, focusing on its comparative analysis with the preceding Consumer Protection Act, 1986. The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and even the new legislation of 2019 was enacted to provide for protection of the interests of consumers and to establish authorities for timely and effective administration and settlement of consumers’ disputes and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
