| GDC Udhampur organizes seminar on blood donation | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 9: Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Udhampur organized a seminar on theme "Donating Blood is an act of Solidarity. Join the efforts and Save life" for raising the awareness among the students on the said theme. The seminar was conducted under the able guidance of Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Govt. Degree College Udhampur. The programme started with the welcome address of Convener of Red Ribbon Club of College, Prof. Jawaid Sarver. The Chief Guest of the Programme, Prof. Seema Kotwal in her keynote address emphasized on the importance of Blood donation. The Prof. Seema Kotwal further makes it clear that Blood donation on one hand saves life and on the other hand it inculcate the lesson of Brotherhood and interdependence of human beings along with sense of satisfaction. Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, HOD Botany, Guest of Honor of the programme also deliberated on the theme of the day. Dr. Firdous Ahmed Itoo, invited resource person in his talk provided the holistic views about the blood donation and by coding live examples he made the students to realize how the blood donation can save the life of human beings. The efforts putforth by the Convener and members of Red Ribbon Club were appreciated by the Principal and Chief Guest of the occasion. The programme was also attended by Dr. Swarn Singh, Prof. Shajji Khan and Prof. Sonia Raj. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Anoksha of Sociology department. |
