Jodhamal team shines at formula-1 in schools

JAMMU, June 9: Three Formula-1 teams, namely Zebion Racing, Presto Racing and Marlin Racing from Jodhamal Public School, Jammu recently participated in the Formula One (F1) in Schools Regional Championship, held at Delhi. All three teams showcased exceptional talent and skills throughout the competition.
The competition is modelled on the lines of the real-world Formula 1 motorsport, involving the designing and manufacturing of a miniature working F1 car models. Schools from all over the country participate and compete against each other. School teams from all over the country reach out to participate in this prestigious competition. Teams from Jodhamal put forward an exceptional performance in the Regional Finals, wherein they won several awards and qualified for the National Finals.
This is the first time that 03 teams from an educational institution have qualified for National Finals.
The team Zebion members include Dhairya Gupta, Pavit Singh, Daanial Butt, Nishant Verma and Aaryan Bakshi. Team Presto members: Puneesh Singh Manhas, Pranjal Gupta, Arhaam Chopra, Amay Kawatra and Aprameya Gupta. Team Marlin members: Aamay Gupta, Adhwik Mahajan, Parmeet Singh, Akshar Bhasin leveraged their talent into the challenge under the guidance of their mentor Neetu Johri. After 7 days of model assessment across various technical domains, the regional finals ended with an award ceremony wherein the teams were nominated for Best Newcomers Award, Best Project Management Award, Best Enterprise Portfolio Award and more. Paving their way through all the hurdles, Team PRESTO was the coveted the Resource and Development Award and high spot on the Winners' list in the Regional Finals.

Jodhamal Public School in collaboration with Time of Sports, has been and continues to be the only 'STEM' approved school in J&K for last 4 years. Together, they aim to promote the growth of STEM learning in the region.
Trustee of the school, Nandan Kuthiala, Principal Dr. Deep Khare congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the teams. He also added that it's a life skill which is beyond books and curriculum, learning by doing at a very advance and scientific level.
