….and an afternoon dream

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 3: In what can be described as big afternoon dream with eyes wide open, senior BJP leader and party General Secretary Arun Jaitly today said that his party is the 'only nationalist party' in the fray in Jammu and Kashmir, adding 'either we, or we with our allies will form the government'.
Forgetting its previous tally of just one seat, the Jaitly claimed, "BJP is the only nationalist party in the fray and we reserve the capability to form the government this time”. He was addressing a press conference here today. He said: "Either we, or we with our allies will form the government." "Everything would be clear after the results are declared," he added.
Hopeful of forming next nationalist government in the form of Bharatiya Janata Party, the party's national general secretary Arun Jaitley today said Jammu and Kashmir has remained victim to the 'divided politics' played by the successive governments in the state since 1947.
''Jammu region had always been discriminated because of ''divided politics'', either economically or politically,'' Jaitley said.
The BJP leader said the regional imbalance occurred due to the ''divided politics'' in the state which had affected the Jammu region more while the nationalist party like the BJP would end economic and political discrimination to all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
''We will educate the people of Jammu on this pattern and ask them not to divide their vote as ''divided politics'' can never create healthy state with different ideologies and policies,'' Mr Jaitley added.
Meanwhile, the BJP general secretary further said with few days left for the last phase polling to be held on December 24, the campaigning in all the constituencies of different districts has been intensified.
''Senior party cadre is visiting all the constituencies and conducting campaigning, which has already been intensified,'' Mr, Jaitley said adding that in Jammu, the BJP has emerged as the voice of the people and surprising results would be seen ahead in the J and K elections.
However, lambasting the UPA Government in the Centre, the BJP leader said the Congress has failed in countering terrorism and protecting national security.
''Pakistan soil has been used to perpetuate terror in India in Mumbai terrorist attacks and the evidence is enough to prove Pakistan's involvement behind this brutal incident,'' said Mr Jaitley.
He said Government of India should built pressure on Pakistan and come hard on terror.
Meanwhile, Mr Jaitley said huge voter turn out in the Valley has signaled that people in Kashmir are fed up of terror and want to lead a peaceful life.
