| Court awarded three years imprisonment to truck driver for killing by accident | | |
Kathua, September, 15:- Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua Mr. VS Bhau today awarded three years imprisonment to Ghulam Hussain driver of truck No JK02J-0157 driven by him rashly and negligently on May11, 1999, while coming from Sumli to Basholi, hit scooterist Ranjit Singh of ward No 4 Basholi, who was seriously injured and remove to hospital Basholi, where he died and a case u/s 279/304-A RPC was registered and after completion of the investigation Challan was presented in the Court of law.
CJM Kathua Mr. VS Bhau after hearing Chief Prosecution Officer with Prosecuting Officer appearing for state and Advocate appearing for the accused and also considered the facts and circumstances of the case observed that due to rash and negligent driving by the accused driver Victim Ranjit Singh was died and case u/s 304-A RPC stands proved against accused and he has such convicted and sentenced to undergo 3 years imprisonment and pay fine Rs 2000/-. |
