| BSP for OBC status to Jats | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 4: Advocating the demand of OBC status to Jat and Saini community in Jammu and Kashmir, BSP candidate from Bishnah constituency Kamal Arora today said that if BSP voted to power in Jammu and Kashmir, they will grant OBC status to Jat and Saini community.
Addressing media persons here today, Arora said that he will also work for providing 27 percent reservation to SC/ST/OBC and 10 percent to those living below poverty line of upper caste, besides compensation to farmers who suffered losses due to recent hailstorm.
Highlighting the plight of refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971, Arora said that BSP is committed for the resettlement of refugees. Implementation of 6th pay panel recommendation, tackling the unemployment problem and the burning issues of those living on borders would be the first task for the party if voted to power, he added. |
