| Manhas: parties hoodwinking people | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 4: Addressing series of election rallies, B S Manhas, who is seeking election as an independent candidate from Nagrota constituency, has strongly criticized the mainstream political parties of backtracking from the promises made to the electorate during the previous elections and alleged that all these parties gave rise to corruption, nepotism and poverty. Manhas, who was on an election visit to village Churta, Ardh, Dansal and Kya in Dansal block assured that, if elected, he would work for the overall development of all the three blocks of the constituency and give special attention towards the problems of poor and downtrodden sections of the society. Cautioning people about the false promises being made to them on the name of employment, Manhas said that no government could provide jobs to all the unemployed youth in view of the limited resources of the state. |
