| MF urges Pak Indian initiatives on terror | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 4: Strongly condemning the Mumbai terror attack, Muslim Federation, Jammu has demanded stern action against those involved in the dastardly act in which innocent people were targeted. The whole nation must condemn this act and remain united to face such challenges in future, the Federation has said. The speakers, at a meeting of the Federation chaired by the president Abdul Majeed, have severely criticized both the state and the central government for their collective failure to pre-empt this act by timely action even though they had the requisite intelligence inputs in this regard. The Federation has asked Pakistan to sincerely and honestly support India in this hour of crisis and impressed upon both the countries not to make the peace process a causality of terrorist attack in the larger interest of peace in the sub-continent. Both the countries must fight the menace of terrorism unitedly, instead of politicizing the issue for narrow political considerations, the Federation suggested. The meeting in one voice condoled the death of the victims and expressed sympathies with all those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack The meeting was attended by H A Siddiqui, Qazi Talat Niyaz, K M Bhatti, Master Akram Ahmed, Nisar Mir, Choudhary Jamat Ali, Choudhary Bhar Din, Javed Qureshi. |
