| JSM nominee takes out foot march | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 4: Capt. Anil Gour JSM (P) candidate for Gandhi Nagar constituency made a padyatra of the villages Shergarh, Khwaskhan, Dhrap and the adjoining areas in the constituency today. He was welcomed enthusiastically by all the people there. The villagers complained that during the last 6 years of the past Government their villages have been totally ignored and no drainage, paving of lanes, black topping of roads and fixing of street lights has taken place and their educated youth are un-employed. They said that after all these years of discrimination, Congress-PDP government also favoured the Kashmir region at the cost of Jammu region. Coming down heavily on these parties Capt Gour said their past performance has shown that they have nothing to offer except for making tall promises whenever the elections come. All these parties are anti- Jammu in their working and this has been proved to the public very well and requires no explanation. When Ghulam Nabi Azad was Chief Minister, he created three extra districts in Kashmir valley instead of one as recommend by Wazir Commission resulting in some of the new districts there having only one Tehsil thus showing their anti Jammu mindset. Jammu district administrative area itself is so big that three districts can by easily carved out of it but nothing was done. Similarly today our daily wagers in PHE are getting only Rs 500 to Rs 700 per month whereas the same workers are getting Rs 2100 in Kashmir valley since the past four years. The Congress government, he said, has proved to be a big failure at the center as well as the state. |
