EARLY TIMES REPORT Bhaderwah, Dec 4: After the deadline of withdrawal of nominations, 13 candidates have remained in the fray as six candidates withdrew their nominations today. The candidates left in fray are Sheikh Mujeeb Ali from PDP, Abdul Hafiz Wani BSP, Daya Krishan Kotwal BJP, Sheikh Mohammed Shafi Samajwadi Party, Mohammed Aslam Goni NC, Choudhary Mohammed Iqbal JKNPP, Badri Nath Shippi Bhartiya Bahujan Party, Sohan Lal CPI, Parvez Ahmed Zargar JD (U), Ghulam Nabi Azad INC, Mohammed Mudassar Nawaz Zargar, Independent, Rajinder Kumar Parihar Backward Community Development Party and Farooq Ahmed Ahengar JP(S). Earlier, during the scrutiny, nomination paper of Socialistic Democratic Party candidate Abhay Singh Wazir was rejected. In the meantime, Bal Krishan Manhas, who withdrew his candidature as an independent, joined the National Conference National Conference. He said NC is a secular party and is committed for equitable development all the areas, besides providing employment package to the unemployed youth in the state. |
