| JURSEA disrupt B.Ed counseling | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 4 : The Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) today disrupted the counseling for the B.Ed in the campus alleging interference by the external elements in the entire process. Led by Jursea president vikas Sharma, the scholars made their entry into the University auditorium and suspended the whole process for an hour in the morning hours. The JURSEA president claimed that people from the private B.Ed colleges in connivance with some University officials are misguiding the students hailing from other states to join their respective colleges. Shouting slogans against the authorities he said it is very sad that everything is happening in the presence of senior University functionaries. Getting the report of protest Dean, Assistant Registrar and other senior officers reached the counseling site and assured stern action against those found involved in the matter. Sources however maintained that the University officials caught some "middle-men" of the private colleges and handed over them to the Police. Meanwhile, JURSEA today condemned the attack on a guard who was reportedly injured when attacked by some outsiders having close relations with a senior Police officer, last evening near the Central Library of the campus. |
