AP Youth Wing organizes motorbike rally against drug menace in Jammu

JAMMU, June 16: Apni Party Youth Wing today took out a motorbike rally in Jammu City against the drug addiction and increasing incidents of drug peddling which have played with the future of the youth in J&K. While flagging off the motorbike rally organized by the Youth Wing of the Apni Party at Jammu today against the drug menace, State General Secretary Apni Party Vijay Bakaya said that drug abuse by youth was a serious and widespread menace and a matter of concern. He said that the purpose of the rally was to highlight the ill effects of drug abuse and to warn the youth that this habit would destroy their capacity to contribute to the progress of society as drugs would sap their energy and strength. He said that the bike rally should make people by and large wake-up to the dangers of drug abuse and decide to initiate some collective mass awakening. He congratulated the Youth Wing and complimented the Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh for having organized the massive bike rally.
In his address, Manjit Singh said that the awareness among the people is important to stop the menace by involving them with the help of NGOs, and J&K Police. "It has become a routine, we hear about the arrest of drug peddlers and seizure of narcotics and intoxicated capsules/injections but the roots where such supplies come must be exposed and the main source/suppliers of the drugs should be punished under the strict laws," he said. He also sought rehabilitation of the drug addicted youth so that they could be brought off the addiction menace. Meanwhile, Youth Wing State General Secretary, Abhay Bakaya said that the Govt must take strict measures to end the menace which has adverse effect on the society and the future generation. He said that the anti-national elements are also taking advantage of drug addictions and it has pushed the society into deep trouble. Meanwhile, Provincial President Youth Wing, Vipul Bali highlighted the dangerous trend emerging in the society due to the drug addiction. Similarly, State Youth Wing Coordinator, Sunny Kant Chib also spoke on the occasion while expressing his concern over the growing menace of drug addiction. Prominent among those who were present while flagging off the rally and took part in in it include Additional General Secretary (Organisation), Arun Chibber, District President Jammu Urban/Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta, State President Apni Trade Union, Ajay Kazmi, State Coordinator Youth Wing, Sunny Kant Chib, Provincial Joint Secretary, Kulwant Singh, Provincial Vice President Youth Wing, Joginder Singh, Provincial Secretary Youth Wing, Vishal Jotshi, Provincial Secretary Youth, Suhail Khajuria, Provincial Joint Secretary, Anmol Singh, District Vice President, Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, District President Youth Wing, Shivam Choudhary, District President Legal Wing, Gourab Sharma, District Secretary, Ashraf Choudhary, District Organisation Secretary, Deepak Bradoo, District Senior Vice President Youth Wing, Sandeep Vaid, District Vice President Youth Wing, Gourav Chibber, District General Secretary Samba, Nadeem Choudhary, Block President Youth WIng, Irshan Choudhary, District Secretary Youth Wing, Ankush Dogra and others.
