UDHAMPUR, June 16: To take stock of patient care facilities, District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur today conducted a surprise inspection of Sub Divisional Hospital, Ramnagar.
He reviewed the functioning of the Hospital and inspected Emergency Room, causality, Operation Theater and other facilities besides, he also interacted with the patients.
The DDC Chairperson went round each section of the hospital and enquired about the welfare of the patients besides he also took stock of the Medicare facilities provided to them.
While appreciating the sanitation maintained in the Hospital, he asked for further improvement and provision of hassle free treatment facilities for the patient. He also took stock of the free treatment facilities provided to the expecting mothers and infants including to and fro transport facilities for institutional deliveries.
Block Medical Officer Ramnagar Dr. Zakir Hussain apprised the Chairperson DDC regarding the various issues of the SDH Ramnagar. While elaborating, he said that the Ultrasound and Digital X-Ray Machines were nonfunctional, while one post of Surgeon was vacant in the hospital for the last 5 years, which is affecting the healthcare services.
The DDC Chairperson directed the Doctors and Paramedics to discharge their duties carefully and serve the patients with a missionary zeal.
